Pimples be gone! Eczema and Rosacea be gone! Got skin issues-who doesn’t? How many of us have seen multiple dermatologists and used cream after cream and pill after pill only to see our skin conditions return? Why is this? Dr. Vincent Pedre has the answers in the article “Clearer Skin In Just 28-Days? The roadmap to Making This Pipedream…Possible!” Here are some of his key points to better, clearer, healthier skin:
- The way your body looks on the outside is a direct reflection of what’s going on in the inside.
- On the inside is usually an unhealthy gut creating inflammation, congestion, or an allergic reaction on the skin.
- Scientific research has shown for over 20 years that an unhealthy, unbalanced gut microbiome is connected to Acne Vulgaris, Rosacea, Atopic Dermatitis and Psoriasis.
- You got that right-the gut talks directly to the skin- when you see a pimple, rash or other blemish it’s a sign that you need to pay attention and tend to your inner garden-your gut!
- Skin and gut issues go together like oil and vinegar.
- Improve your gut and you can improve the health of your skin without drugs, creams and expensive treatments.
Dr. Pedre offers these 3 Steps to Clearer Skin
- Tend to your inner garden-Out with the bad bacteria and in with the good bacteria. Get rid of the bad stuff (bad bacteria, parasites, yeast etc) and put more of the good bacteria in. For example, too much sugar can lead to candida yeast overgrowth which can cause cystic acne. Get rid of the sugar and high sugar starches–get rid of the acne
- Avoid Food Sensitivities & Triggers: Food and skin health are connected! Dr. Pedre says, ‘Drop the dairy’-one of the biggest triggers for acne in women. Other foods that can trigger acne are sugar, chocolate, greasy foods, fried foods, and spicy foods. Dr. Pedre suggests avoiding all these foods for 28-days to see how your skin does
- Heal Your Gut– Leaky gut and acne usually go hand and hand. Too much stress and sugar and not enough greens or fiber can leave you inflamed and with a leaky gut. Additionally, birth control pills, ibuprofen and antibiotics can also make you inflamed and cause a leaky gut. Then comes the acne or other skin problem.
Bottom line? Decrease inflammation. Get rid of the causes of leaky gut and look in the mirror and see the magic! Improve your skin from the inside and enjoy beautiful healthy skin!
